Geneva Hess

Geneva (Hall) Hess, Brookdale, Troy, Ohio formerly of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away November 8, 2017. Her husband, Fred H. Hess, preceded her in 1996. Also preceding her in death are, her parents, Meffard and Carrie (Perry) Hall; two brothers, Arnold and Paul Hall; three sisters, Elma Roush, Ethel Russell, Donna Scott and son-in-law, Glen A. Snyder. Survivors are two daughters, Norreta A. (Hess) Snyder of Tipp City, Ohio; Carolyn J. Hess of St. Paris, Ohio and one son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Kathy Hess of West Liberty, Ohio; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren. She worked at J. C. Penney’s, Troy, Ohio and Bellefontaine, Ohio. Retired as manager of Joann Fabrics of Bellefontaine, Oh. With her husband, they owned and operated a craft shop, Wood Shed, West Liberty, Ohio for several years. She was also a seamstress, quilter and avid reader. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, November 13, 2017 at Union Cemetery, Cable, Ohio. Services in the care of Walter & Lewis Funeral Home, Urbana, Ohio.
