Gary Arthur Pensyl

Gary A. Pensyl, age 82, of Urbana, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, August 13, 2023. He was born on June 30, 1941, in Springfield, Ohio, the son of the late Frederick and Gladys (Pearson) Pensyl. Gary is survived by his loving wife, Sandra (Stults) Pensyl whom he married on March 24, 1962; children, Michelle Leigh Pensyl (Jeff Peck) and Terry Arthur (Dawn) Pensyl; grandchildren, Nicholas (Lindsay) Pensyl, Taylor (Noah) Kainrad, Mackenzie Pensyl, Blake (Nicholas) Damico and Meredith Peck; and great-granddaughters, Riley Jordan Pensyl and Lula Jo Kainrad. Gary graduated from Urbana High School in 1959 and was a member of Chapel Hill Church of God. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023 from 11am-1pm at Walter & Lewis Funeral Home with service beginning at 1pm. Pastor Jeff Ludden will be officiating. Private family burial will be at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, any local animal shelter or a charity of your choice.
