Emily Amber Watrus

Emily Amber Watrus, age 46 of Columbus, Ohio passed away on November 13, 2022. Emily was born on November 10, 1976 in Columbus, Ohio to Don Wintringham and Melissa (Thomas) Folk. Emily is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Richard Watrus, children; Stella, Violet, Althea, and Judah Watrus, father, Don (Kim) Wintringham, and siblings; Elizabeth Wintringham, Sarah (Adam) Hannah, Dustin (Bridget) Folk, and Lindsey Folk. Emily is preceded in death by her daughter, Evangeline Watrus and mother, Melissa Folk.

Emily was a lover of Jesus. In her freetime, she enjoyed reading, running, and baking, especially sourdough bread and cheesecake. She was also an avid lover of music of any and all genres. Emily had a heart like no other. She was a kind hearted woman who loved to serve others. Most importantly, Emily loved her family and her children.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Crossway Vineyard Church, 129 N. Oakland St. The funeral service will begin at 6:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Kyle Peters. Emily will be laid to rest next to Evangeline at Oak Dale Cemetery on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor David Welker presiding. Arrangements entrusted to the Walter and Lewis Funeral Home, Urbana. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to NACoA, National Association for Children of Addiction, whose mission is to eliminate the adverse impact of alcohol and drug use on children and families.
