Elwood Wolfe

Elwood Wolfe, 95, of New Carlisle, died at 2:26 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 in Belle Manor Nursing Home, New Carlisle. He was born on March 11, 1918 in Carter County, KY, the son of Frank and Nellie (Wolfe) Wolfe. Elwood attended Colonial Baptist Church in New Carlisle. Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis (Russ) Anglemyer of New Carlisle, a son, Finn (Elsie) Wolfe of McDermott, several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Goldie (Anderson) Wolfe, sister, Gracie Kotcamp, brother, Glenn Wolfe, son, W.F. Wolfe, daughter, Darlene Wolfe Bentley, stepson, Frank Sprinkle, stepdaughter, Lorraine Roberds, and grandchild, Scotty Bentley. The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2013 in WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 642 S. Main St., Urbana, where a service will be held at 1 p.m. with Kevin Boggs officiating. Burial will follow in New Carlisle Cemetery, New Carlisle.
