Eloise Dobbins, 86, of Urbana went to be home with the Lord on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 in Mercy McAuley Center, Urbana. She was born on February 12, 1929 in Matewan, W. Va., the daughter of Lafe and Elva (Collins) Ward. Eloise retired from W. B. Marvin and was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Survivors include daughter, Sue Wilson and husband John of Urbana; son-in-law, Patrick Tolley of Urbana; grandchildren, Kimberly (Pete) Jacquemart, Rhonda (Thomas) James, Christina (Timothy) Jones, Julie (Ryan) Cole, Joshua (Melinda) Wilson and Nicholas (Kristy) Roby; 21 great-grandchildren; and brother, Frank (Jeanette) Ward. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred Dobbins in 1993; daughter, Joann Tolley; 6 siblings; and son-in-law, Alan Roby. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2015 in Grace Baptist Church, 960 Childrens Home Road, Urbana, and also from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2015. A service will be held at the church at 11 a.m. with Pastor Aaron Samples officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery, Carysville. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Mercy McAuley Center for their care of Eloise.
