Elizabeth "Liz" Hance Anderson

Elizabeth Liz Hance Anderson, 69, of Urbana, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 with family by her side. She was born on February 6, 1946 in Urbana, OH, a daughter of John D. and Ellamae (Curtis) Hance, Sr. All through life, Liz was an extraordinarily strong, independent and compassionate person who loved her family more than anything. She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren, visiting with dear friends, cooking and the holidays. Survivors include daughters, Melissa Cady Sine (Steve) of Urbana and Lisa Cady Byrum (Rob) of Enon; son, John Richard Cady of Kansas; grandchildren, Matthew Sine of Urbana, Joshua Ogilby of Enon, Elizabeth Ogilby of Enon and Jacob Byrum of Enon; sisters, Valerie Hance Trout of Urbana and Carol Watson (Andrew) of New Mexico; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John D. Hance II; and sister, Lisa Bair. The family would like to express a special thank you to Shirley Wheeland. Family will receive friends from 12-2:30 p.m. on Monday, August 24, 2015 in the WALTER & STOWE FUNERAL HOME, 642 S. Main St., Urbana where a service will be held at 2:30 p.m. with Rev.
