Eileen B Kennedy

Eileen B. Kennedy, 92, of Urbana, returned home to reunite with her family in Heaven on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 in Vancrest of Urbana. She was born on April 8, 1923 in London, OH, a daughter of Frank and Marie (Walters) Scott. Eileen was a 1941 graduate of Urbana High School and a long-time member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Urbana. She had worked for Champaign Telephone, Trenor Motors and Bills Flowers. Eileen was never afraid to speak her mind and theres no doubt she is kicking up her heels in Heaven. She adored her grandchildren and never had a shortage of cookies and candy when they stopped by her house for a visit. Survivors include a son Allan Baker and wife Anne; grandchildren, Doug and Andrea Baker, Tim and Debbie Walls, Joe and Kate Baker, Janice and Mike Meyer and Keith Baker; 16 great-grandchildren, Kyle, Erek, Emlyn, Elizabeth, Anna, Alex, Finn, Dex, Mikey, Samantha, Evan, Ava, Logan, Liam, Brandon and Jessie; and 5 great, great-grandchildren. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Allan H. Baker in 1945; second husband, Thomas Kennedy in 2010; brother, Cletis Scott; and 2 sisters, Vonna Jordan and Marybelle OBrien. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2015 in the WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. the same day at St. Mary Catholic Church, Urbana. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, 231 Washington Ave., Urbana, OH 43078, PAWS Animal Shelter, 1535 W.
