Edwin L. "Eddie" Channell, 71 of Galena, Ohio passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born on November 29, 1952 in Urbana, Ohio to Harold F. Channell and Etoyle F. (Colbert) Channell of Cable, Ohio.
A farm boy who was involved in 4-H and FFA, he was an honor student and graduate of Triad High School in North Lewisburg, Ohio. After graduation he furthered his education in computer programming. He was employed by UPS, Columbia Gas, State Farm Insurance, Franklin County and Safelite Auto.
He is survived by his sister, Deborah (Jack) Graham of North Lewisburg, Ohio; brother James Channell, of Cable, Ohio; nephews: Adam (Jennifer) Graham of North Lewisburg, Ohio and Beau (Chelsea) Graham of Zanesfield, Ohio; great-nephew, Colton Graham; great-nieces, Melissa Graham, Paige Graham, Micah Graham and Marianna Yost.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Cathy Channell and a brother Ronald Channell.
A visitation will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Walter & Lewis Funeral Home with his funeral beginning at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Miriam "Mimi" Ault officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana, Ohio.
