Eduardo S. Gonzalez

Eduardo S. Gonzalez, 61, of Urbana, died at 12:27 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2016 in the OSU Medical Center, Columbus. He was born on September 26, 1954 in Urbana, OH, a son of Pedro V. and Maria (Sanchez) Gonzalez. Eduardo enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, playing chess and gardening. Survivors include his son, Brian Gonzalez of Springfield; a daughter, Shanae Gonzalez of Urbana; grandchildren, Jasmine and Zachary Powell and Aaliyah Hampton; brothers, Pete Gonzalez, Robert Gonzalez, Alexander Gonzalez and Ray Gonzalez; sisters, Linda Gonzalez, Norma Gonzalez and Sylvia (Bob) Rice; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Pedro V. Gonzalez; mother, Maria S. Gonzalez; sister, Theresa Maria Gonzalez; grandparents, Pedro and Elvida Gonzalez and Suzano Sanchez and Thedesa Sanchez; and uncles, Isador, Ray and Mike Gonzalez. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 in the WALTER & STOWE FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2016 with Rev. David Gammello officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana. Memorial contributions may made to the funeral home to assist the family with burial expenses.
