Edna Mae Daniels

Edna Mae Daniels, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to many, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2024, at the age of 97.

Edna is survived by her two children, Judy Kelly with Son-in-law Kevin Kelly and Alice Luger; her grandkids Heather (Niklas) Fallgren and TJ Koons; and her three great grandchildren Hannah, Julia and Logan; as well as her brother Jesse Walters, his wife Bonnie and their children, her brother BillyJoe Walters and his family; and many loyal friends and extended family members. Edna was preceded in death by her father Vint Walters and mother Goldie; and her husband of 46 years, Russell Daniels.  She was also preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters-Robert, David, James, Jim, Eula, Auxie, Fern, Mary Ann, Lawrence, Junior and Clifford.

Known for her fierce independence and her focus on family, Edna will be dearly missed by all who knew her. An avid baker, her pies and cakes were the highlights of family and church gatherings. Edna worked at Crosby’s Drugs in Urbana for 35 years where she loved helping people. She was a member of Mechanicsburg Freewill Baptist Church where she will be greatly missed. Edna’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life not the sadness of her passing.

Services to honor and celebrate the life of Edna will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Walter & Lewis Funeral Home, 642 S. Main St., Urbana, Ohio, beginning at 12:30 p.m. with a visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service, with her brother, Pastor Jesse Walters officiating.
