Dr. Margaret "Peggy" Ann Koryl

Dr. Margaret (Peggy) Ann Koryl age 76 passed away September 20, 2024. Peggy was born in Urbana OH on January 20, 1948 and was married to John C. Koryl on January 2, 1970. Peggy is survived by her beloved husband John Koryl, her loving son John Edward Koryl, spouse Rachel Koryl, loving grandchildren Sophie Elizabeth and Jack Nolan Koryl, loving brother John Nolan of Urbana, OH and countless cousins. She received her undergraduate degree in education at University of Dayton, multiple graduate degrees at IPFW and St. Francis University and her doctorate at Ball State University. She was a teacher, guidance counselor and assistant principal for Fort Wayne Community Schools for over 30 years. She loved to travel in Europe and the American West. She devoted much of her free time to adopting and raising a dozen rescue dogs over the years. She loved every student and teacher that she came into contact with and was proud of the fact that she never gave up! 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 10:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Oak Dale Cemetery.
