Dorothy "Dort" (Yohn) Markin

MARKIN, Dorothy A. (Yohn) known to her family and friends as “Dort” age 65 of Urbana, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 18, 2020. She is no longer in pain and joins her mom and dad in Heaven. She was born in Urbana, Ohio to the late John and Mary (Hankey) Yohn on November 25, 1954. In addition to her parents, Dort is preceded in death by her sister, Marylan Brown. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 41 years, Rick Markin; siblings: John (Sharon) Yohn, Gail (Mike) Comer, Rose (Jamie) Yohn Deane, Emma Jane Turner, Bruce (Elizabeth) Yohn and Karen (Jimmy Leedy) Yohn Preston as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Dort loved playing solitaire in the mornings and crossword puzzles in the evenings. She was always ready to play bingo at the Urbana Moose on Sundays. Dort will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank Hospice for their compassionate care they provided to Dort. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Walter & Lewis Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
