Dixie Lee Gunsaulies

Dixie Lee Gunsaulies, age 84, passed away on April 12, 2022 in Urbana, Ohio. She was born on July 19, 1937 in Urbana, Ohio to the late Emerson and Anna Evelyn (Webb) George. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Thurman (Theresa) Huffman, brothers; Malvin and Wayne George, sister, Colleen Dallwein, and numerous special friends. Dixie is survived by her son, Clinton (Tiffany) Huffman, sister, Lois (Stephen) Wilcox, brothers; Dale (Beverly) and Douglas George, grandchildren; Matthew (Amber) Huffman and Brittany (Jamie) Sloan, great-grandchildren; Gabrielle, Zachary, Tristan, and Lydia, and numerous nieces and nephews. Dixie was a 1955 graduate of Westville High School. After high school, she worked for Grimes Manufacturing and later in life, retired from The Grocery Warehouse in Urbana. After retirement, she worked part time at Carmazzi's Candy & General Store. In her freetime, she enjoyed going to church. She was one of the founding members of The Way International in the Urbana area. She also liked going to the senior center. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and an African Violet Club. She loved her flowers, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Urbana Place and ProMedica Hospice for their incredible care for Dixie.
