David Wayne Knopp

KNOPP, David W. age 54 of Mechanicsburg, Ohio went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 7, 2021. He was born on January 12, 1967 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of David Lee and Mary (O'Neal) Knopp. David leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 31 years, Julie (Thomas) Knopp, their son, JD Knopp; his mother, Mary; sister, Amy (Shawn) Wholaver; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Bob & Joanne Thomas; sister-in-law, Marla Shell; nieces and nephews: Gabe and Zaiden Wholaver and Chelsea, Lindsay, Austin and Marinda Shell. David is also survived by many aunts, uncles, extended family members, his church family and beloved friends. He is preceded in death by his father, David and brother-in-law, Dan Shell. David was a paramedic for over 20 years for MedFlight of Ohio and went on to own and operate the "The Handy Guy" in Mechanicsburg. David had a great faith in God and loved Jesus and was a member of River of Life Christian Center. The family would like to send their heartfelt appreciation to Jenny and Renee, David's Hospices nurses. Visitations will be held at River of Life Christian Center on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until his funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Pastors Dan Leiker and Kristen Davis officiating. David will be laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery in Mechanicsburg. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to David's church in his honor.
