David Lee Evans

David Lee Evans, 49, of Columbus, died on Monday, August 11, 2014 in Kobacker House, Columbus. He had been a resident of Heinzerling Developmental Center for 31 years. He was born on April 2, 1965 in Urbana, OH, the son of Marvin and Karen (Bussa) Evans. David was very special to his family and friends. Survivors include his mother, Karen Evans of Urbana; brothers, Martin and Faith Evans of Columbus and Steve Evans of Urbana; nieces and nephews, Jerrod and Ashley Evans of Springfield, David and Abby Evans of Troy, Jason and Mahle Evans of Chilicothe, Michael and Zainab Evans of Fairborn, Danielle and Travis Hecker of Urbana, Kayla Evans of Urbana, Bradley and Kim Evans of West Liberty and Mandi and Brett VanDeWeerd of North Lewisburg; 13 great nieces and nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and maternal and paternal grandparents. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Friday, August 15, 2014 in the WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Nancy Hardin officiating.
