Connie Bailey

Connie Bailey, 91, of Urbana, Ohio passed way on Monday, December 23, 2024. She was born on October 21, 1933, in Westville, Ohio, to John and Lelah (Pence) Wilkins. 

Connie was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother who was always ready to lend a helping hand, a kind word or a helping heart. She was a member of The First Baptist Church in St. Paris, Ohio. Connie lived her life with a passion for fun and unwavering love for those around her. She enjoyed the daily challenge of word search games and she played it every morning before she had her breakfast and making greeting cards. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her and her memory will be cherished forever. 

Connie married her high school sweetheart, Norman, on October 21, 1951 at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. They were married for 56 wonderful years. 

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Bailey of Urbana and Kristy (Bruce) Fourman of Urbana; brother and sister-in-law, Bob (Gus) and Carol Wilkins; grandchildren, Heather (Ben) Williams of Carrollton, Georgia, Michal (Charity) Fourman of Groton, Connecticut, Holly (Clark) Herron of Marysville, Ohio and Sarah (Brett) Rhymer of Cincinnati, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Bella and Ryder Williams and Abby, Madi and Emma Fourman; nephews, Jeff Mc Culla, Jonathon Mc Culla and Joel Mc Culla; and nieces, Vickie Wilkins and Christina Blosser. 

Connie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Norman Bailey; sister, Imogene Mc Culla; brother-in-law, Bruce Mc Culla; nephew, Wade Wilkins; niece, Lynette Wilkins; her in-laws, Merle and Ruth Bailey; and sister-in-law, Charlene Bailey. 

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10-11am on Saturday, December 28, 2024 in the Walter & Lewis Funeral Home with funeral service beginning at 11am. Burial will follow at Kingscreek Cemetery in Kingscreek, Ohio.
