Charlotte R. Leffel

Charlotte R. Leffel, 77, of Urbana, died at 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2013 in Vancrest of Urbana. She was born February 15, 1936 in Bridgeport, WV the daughter of Howard & May (Altman) Skidmore. Charlotte received her Masters from West Virginia University and taught school in Springfield, OH, Michigan and many years in the Graham schools, retiring from Graham South in 1998. Survivors include her husband, John R. Jack Leffel, a sister, Patricia FitzRandolph and her husband James FitzRandolph; nephews William FitzRandolph and his wife Tammy of Bellville, OH, Keith Skidmore, Bear Lake MI, Jeffrey and Richard Skidmore, Grand Ledge, MI and William Skidmore, Bridgeport, WV; nieces Anne Kirst and her husband Craig of Gahanna, OH, Debra Dunn, Punta Gorda, FL and Elizabeth Skidmore, Cranberry Township, PA; grandnieces, Hayley and Ivy Kirst and all the many students she considered as her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and May Skidmore, brother William and his wife Martha and sister Norma Jeanne Skidmore. Private services will be held with Pastor Paul Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Dale Cemetery Mausoleum. The family is being served by the WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Urbana.
