Catherine L. "Katie" Glueck

Catherine L. Katie Glueck, 88, of Urbana, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014 in Mercy McAuley Center, Urbana. She was born on October 19, 1925 in Cincinnati, OH, the daughter of Frederick and Edna Elizabeth (Vogt) Doeren. Katie was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church in Urbana, Urbana-Champaign County Senior Citizens Center, Red Hat Society, TWIG and was honored for being one of the longest-serving volunteers at Mercy Memorial Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Julius Glueck, loving mother of Geraldine (Norbert) Mause, dear grandmother of David, Norman (Julie) and Erik (Kim) and great-grandmother of Luke, Alison, Elizabeth, Adam, Zaden and Keira. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers and sisters, Fr. Frederick Doeren, Ruth, Rita, Dorothy, Frances, Ginny, Marian and Bob. Family will receive friends for visitation and service from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 2014 in St. Marys Mausoleum, Cincinnati, with Rev. Walter Mock officiating.
