Carolyn Sue Mossbarger

Carolyn Sue Mossbarger, 78 of Urbana, passed away Friday, July 8, 2022 at the Springfield Masonic Home.

Sue was born on November 22, 1943 in Urbana, Ohio. Daughter of the late Edgar and Glennadean Daniels. Sue was a past member of the Elizabeth M. Hood Chapter of the Eastern Star. Sue worked for the Urbana City Schools for 23 years as a cook. Sue enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her hobbies included sewing, gardening, cooking and crocheting.

On November 24, 1961 she married Elmo Mossbarger Sr. in Urbana, Ohio.

Sue is survived by her husband of 60 years, children Melissa (Tom) Judy, Elmo Jr. (Joan) Mossbarger, Lora Mossbarger, Michael (Toni) Mossbarger, grandchildren Bradley (Kendra) Judy, Matt Souders, Wade (Sarah) Bodey, Liz Mossbarger, Kyle (Jenna) Mossbarger, Karen Souders and Wesley (Rachael) Judy and several great grandchildren. Sister-in-laws Jackie Daniels and Jeanine Daniels. Special friends Malinda and Roger Vaughn.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Robert Daniels and Thomas Daniels.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, July 11, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Walter and Lewis Funeral Home, Urbana. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., also at the funeral home. Burial at Oak Dale Cemetery following the funeral services.
