Carl Wilbur Jenkins Jr.

Carl Wilbur Jenkins Jr., age 85 of Urbana, Ohio passed away March 12, 2024 in West Liberty, Ohio. He was born July 28. 1938 in Urbana, Ohio to the late Carl W. Jenkins Sr. and Ruth (Overfield) Jenkins. 

Carl shared his love with his 2 children, Shawna (Butch) Suchland and Chris (Jeanette) Jenkins, 6 grandchildren, AJ (Cassidy), Joshua, Meghan, Cassondra, Chelsea (Cody), and Ryan (Courtney), 13 great-grandchildren, Adalyn, Owen, Norah, Alivia, Hunter, Laila, Christopher, Avery, Adyen, Layne, Liliana, Lexi, and Luke, numerous nieces and nephews, Mark, Laurie, Melissa, Hope, CW, Heather, Julie, John, Creighton, Kristen, Andy, and Teri, and sisters-in-law, Candy Patrick and Jackie Markin. 

Carl graduated from Urbana High School in 1956. He worked for Howard Paper Mill (formerly Fox River) for over 38 years until his eventual retirement. Carl was an avid golfer. After his retirement, he spent time working for Woodland Golf Course where he helped mow for over 20 years. Carl was a lifetime Urbana Hillclimber fan. He loved attending any and all Urbana sporting events. Carl was the first person inducted into the Urbana Athletic Booster Club Fan of the Year. Most importantly, Carl loved spending time with his family.  

Along with his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Linda Kay (Markin) Jenkins, siblings, Jerry (Sharon) Jenkins and Rebecca (William “Bill”) Rupert, and brother-in-law, Jim Markin.
