Brenda Couchman

Brenda Couchman, 74, of Urbana, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018 in the OSU Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.
She was born on December 2, 1943 in Champaign County, OH, a daughter of Billy M. and Sarah A. (Harper) Gingrey. Brenda attended the Renewed Strength Church. She loved handpainting and doing puzzles, but was happiest when she was with her family. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren.
Brenda was feisty and very good at giving people a hard time. However, she always knew how to make others feel loved.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Jim Couchman; sons, Larry E. Couchman (Melody Gingery) and Jim A. (Kim) Couchman Jr.; two stepdaughters, Debra Couchman and Barbara (Todd) Close; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great, great-grandchild; a sister, Carolyn M. Walborn; two brothers, Donald C. (Kim) Gingrey and Ronald M. (Barbara) Gingrey; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a stepdaughter, Kim George.
The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2018 in the Renewed Strength Church, 4194 W. U.S. Route 36, Westville, where a service will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Mark Hackworth officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Brenda’s memory to Renewed Strength Church.
