Barbara Doris Skeen

SKEEN, Barbara Doris age 80 of Urbana passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital.  She was born on July 29, 1940 to the late Erwin and Kaete (Emma) Wiesner in Germany.  In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jarold E. Skeen and her son, Marion E. Shafer.  She leaves behind to forever cherish her memory, her children: Andrea (Tom) Vaughan, Russell (Bobbette) Shafer Jr., and Monica (Matthew) Thomas; brother, Klaus (Renate) Wiesner; grandchildren: Kelsy Vaughan, Thomas (Chelsea) Vaughan, Britny (Rob) Kennard, Devin Shafer, Austin (Jodie) Minchew, Rylan Shafer, Nathan Shafer, Savannah Vaughan, Kolton Thomas, Taylor (Dillon) Holsonback, and Emelia Thomas as well as numerous great-grandchildren.  Barbara attended Pickerington Church of Christ and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed cooking German food and crocheting.  A visitation will be held on Monday, January 18, 2021 at Walter & Lewis Funeral Home from 12:00-2:00 p.m. with her funeral beginning at 2:00 p.m. her son-in-law, Matthew Thomas officiating.
