Axel "Ike" Wright

Axel Ike Wright, 82, of St. Paris, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 23, 2015 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born on March 28, 1932 in Titusville, PA, the son of Frank and Bernice (Stoltz) Wright. Ike was a member of Cable United Methodist Church and retired from Rotor Tool in Euclid in 1997. He was a member of Titusville American Legion Post 368 and the VFW. Ike was a hard worker, a tinkerer and a builder and enjoyed snowmobiling and 4-wheeling. He was a good husband and father. Survivors include his wife, Kitty, who he married on September 11, 1964; a daughter, Vinnette (Scott) Stayrook of St. Paris; 2 sons, Virgil D. (Melissa Missy) Wright of Mechanicsburg and Axel Wright Jr. of Titusville, PA; 15 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Carol Blymiller of Sagertown, PA; a brother, Boots Wright of Huntsburg; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 5 siblings. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2015 in the Cable United Methodist Church, 5779 Filmore St., Cable with Pastor Mimi Ault officiating.
