Allison Kay Stillgess

Allison Kay Stillgess, 53, of Columbus, died at 10:04 a.m. Sunday, December 22, 2013 in her residence. She was born on January 10, 1960 in Urbana, OH, the daughter of Delbert A. and Geneva (Howell) Stillgess Sr. As a child, she attended the Hill Street Church of God. Allison attended Urbana High School and Atwater High School in Atwater, CA. She lived in California with her sister, Avonda, for two years, which she truly enjoyed. She sang with the Gospel Prophets who performed at the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. and was also an avid tennis player. Allison gave birth to a son, Oscar Lee. Other survivors include her sisters, Cynthia Fite of Xenia and Avonda (Wayne) May of Larrimore, N.D.; brothers, Delbert Stillgess, Jr. of Houston, TX, Victor Stillgess of Lebanon and John W. Stillgess of California; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2014 in the WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, where a memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. with Rev. Carl Vactor officiating. Inurnment will follow in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana. Following the service, the family will receive friends at Lewis B. Moore Community Room, 339 Lewis B.
