Alice Ann Boysel

Alice Ann (Mattox) Boysel, 79, of Urbana, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017 in Mercy McAuley Center, Urbana.
She was born on June 6, 1937 on Prairie Road in Champaign County, OH, a daughter of the late Herbert and Ruth (Anderson) Mattox. A 1955 graduate of Urbana Local School, Alice is a long time member of Kingscreek United Methodist Church. She worked at First National Bank in Springfield, Montgomery Ward Catalog Store in Urbana and retired from the Champaign County Title Department with the Clerk of Courts.
Alice enjoyed her family, her garden, flowers and doing yardwork.
Survivors include her husband, W. Harold Boysel, who she married on November 17, 1956; two sons, David H. Boysel of California and Douglas K. (Lynda) Boysel of Pennsylvania; two granddaughters, Bethany (Brandon) Parmer of Pennsylvania and Hillary (Carl) Vanidour of Michigan; great-granddaughter, Sarah Paulette Vanidour of Michigan; special friends, JoLayne and Patty; brother-in-law, Charles Edwin (Charlotte) Boysel of Georgia; sisters-in-law, Juanita Willis of Springfield and Pauline Mattox of Urbana; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Warren Mattox; and inlaws, Wilbur and Ruth (Thompson) Boysel.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Walter & Lewis Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral to follow on Friday, May 26, at 11:00 a.m. Pastor David Brown officiating. Burial at Oak Dale Cemetery.
